Participants will learn how families are informed, involved, and integral to the process of providing inclusive communities for individuals with disabilities and apply that knowledge by identifying and developing goals for family involvement in community, business and educational settings.
Whether you are part of a family, part of a community, or part of a person’s life who has a disability, your role is IMPERATIVE for helping this individual achieve successful inclusion and access to equal opportunities. With this class, you will understand the legal implications, services that are provided, and planning tools to support inclusion for individuals of any age who have developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.
